It’s time to take it back to the beginning. Let’s go back to Week 1 and get hydrated again. Spring has sprung and we need to make sure our bods are ready for the heat! Check out the below and join in this week’s re-challenge!

I teach 17 classes a week, Cycling, intenSati, GETFIERCE Strength, Core…I’m thirsty!
As we get deeper into winter and the temperature gets colder I’m finding it more challenging to choose water. I’ve been happily reaching for my hot (1/2 caff) coffee every morning and while that’s not gonna stop (at least while the temp is in the single digits) I am committing to counteracting its effects.
Our bodies are made up on 75% water. It’s what I preach at the end of all my classes, “rehydrate, drink lots of water”, blah blah blah. It’s easy to tune me out, I tune myself out, not no mo’! It’s time to GET un-THIRSTY and get in all the water.
I read this awesome article about the benefits of hydration by Dr. Batmanghelidj. I’ve read a bunch of Dr. “Batman’s” info before, but this time it really hit home, because I’M not drinking enough. There are countless and VERY pricey solutions to our health issues. One of the easiest fixes and Dr. B might say, ‘cures’, is water. The best part is it’s FREE!
Are you dehydrated? Mild to moderate dehydration is likely to cause:
- Dry, sticky mouth
- Sleepiness or tiredness
- Decreased urine output
- Few or no tears when crying
- Dry skin
- Dizziness or lightheadedness
I’m starting a 60 day challenge and would love you to join me. The challenge is drinking 2 liters of water each day. Be focused and mindful about the amount of water you’re taking in. Set aside a liter bottle and fill it in the morning. Drink it all the way down and then refill, make sure it’s gone before bed to ensure you’ve hit your mark.
