Prepping for Life

After a LONG week of challenging food choices (fresh food options were limited with Sandy) I’m getting ready for this week with a trip to the Chelsea Market veggie shop. I’m getting prepared for the week and creating FIERCE options right in my ‘fridge. I’m creating a shopping list and here’s what’s on it…

 

THE LIST

  • Kale
  • Spinach
  • Arugula
  • Spaghetti squash
  • Zucchini
  • Carrots
  • Broccoli
  • Cauliflower
  • Quinoa
  • Grapefruit
  • Apples
  • Lemon
  • Garlic
  • Onion

I’ll be chopping all afternoon (after I vote) and then putting all the goods in glass ready for a steam/stir-fry/soup/salad all week long. Those Boy Scouts weren’t lyin’ “Be Prepared” it’s way more than 1/2 the battle…Be Smart, Be Sassy, Be Fierce!

    I was wondering how the week went with all of this choppin’ (since we all know now the result of the vote). Spaghetti squash – how is that different from whole wheat / multi-grain spaghetti, I’ve never tried spaghetti squash. Lastly, if being prepared is more than half the battle, what’s the remaining portion of the battle?
