There’s a fantastic way to get all the vitamins and nutrients we need…FOOD! People are always asking me, “What supplements should I take?” I tell them to, like the title of this post says, “EAT IT!” Supplements do just as the word describes, they aid when your diet can’t provide for you. If there are foods that are out of season, if it’s winter or has been cloudy and you can’t get your Vitamin D that’s when you can add in the supplements.
I know I know, there’s no labeling on fresh food, so it’s a bit more challenging to find the nutritional information, but you’re worth a little bit of extra work…REMEMBER, YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT! We have this awesome thing called the internet (thanks, Al Gore). I use this FAB site called CalorieKing. If I ever have a question about what’s in my tangerine or broccoli (they also have info on packaged product info incase you’ve thrown it away already) this is where I go. It’s a great way to figure out where you’re at in your nutritional count for the day.
I know, we’re all different shapes and sizes and we need to feed our bods what they require. It’s banana’s to think that I, at 5’1”, need as much to live as a 6’2” man…not the case. To figure out what YOU need to live click HERE. Remember if you’re trying to LOSE lbs you’ll need to decrease the number of calories per day (the number given is meant to maintain your current weight). To check out what you need as far as vitamins and minerals go you can get that HERE.
Trust that I understand that this seems like A LOT of work. BUT, and it’s a big but(t), once you know you’ll know. Getting this information isn’t something you’ll remember and use for a day, it’s something you’ll LEARN and use for life!
I love you and wishing you a BEAUTIFUL & FIERCE day!
I can see you GETTIN’ FIERCE!
